The Project Interface Coordinator (PIC) is a Site based role to assist the Site Project Management Team (SPMT) to coordinate the works of several Contactors working in close proximity. The PIC is responsible for performing all the administrative and operational functions necessary to manage Contractor coordination on a daily basis. The specific duties of the PIC will be assigned directly by the Technical Manager (TM) on Site. The PIC is regarded to be the Technical Manager’s assistant on coordination with all Contractors working on and adjacent to the Project. You have to know the details of the ongoing work and plan with several Contractor’s their interface ensuring that the works progress without impediment. You have to report to the TM daily on Contractor interfaces.
•Understand the schedule of the Contractor and other Contractors working adjacent to the Site
•Liaise with the Contractor and other Contractors undertaking work adjacent to the Site
•Familiarise himself with Inspector’s daily reports.
•Familiarise himself with contractor’s proposed materials and methods as delegated by the Technical Manager
•Chair meetings and prepare Minutes of Meeting and reports as delegated by the Technical Manager.
•Coordination with the Contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
•Preparation of written and oral reports to the Site Project Management Team and Client on Contractor Coordination matters.
•Co-ordinate and co-operate with Client and Mouchel Office team every time during inspection and site visit.
•To prepare a daily report to the TM for the SPMT containing the future activities of the contractor and interfaces with other contractors adjacent to the site and how to solve any interface issues.
You must be holding Civil Engineering Degree
•Minimum 10 years of experience.
•Good computer skills, e.g. Word, Excel
•Knowledge of UK Standards
•Demonstrated writing skills of a high calibre
•Excellent client relationship skills, demonstrated by referees
•Excellent communication and team skills and ability to work as part of a team
•Able to work to deadlines and under pressure
•Good problem solving skills & creative thinking (innovation)
•Takes accountability for assigned work
