The job holder will be responsible for assisting the Buyer in developing strategic buying plans for the assigned department/category. The job holder will also ensure smooth workflow of buying related activites by following up with different departments.
Buying Budget and Planning
Assist the Buyer in aligning the buying plan to the overall department/category business plan and the merchandize strategy as laid down by the department/ category manager
Help meet the profit targets by ensuring timely procurement of the department/category Merchandise.
Pursue cost reduction by effective negotiations
Vendor and order Management
Assist Buyer in building and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers and negotiate the best deals with them for procuring merchandise
Maintain contact with vendors and follow up on sampling and production to ensure the timely launch
Ensure all orders are released on time by following up on PO’s and PI’s
Track the merchandise transportation from supplier to landmark distribution centre and ensure smooth flow of goods
Ensure all samples gets devleoped on time by following up with vendors on status
Assiting buyer in closing the range devlopment and helping in day to day queries
Process\'s and Timelines
Adherence to season calendar, signs off\'s , buying week etc
Ensure all relvant infomration is updated on PLM
Monthly Market intelligence analysis of completetion and to be documented properly
